Abstract

Objective: Ultra-snapTM ATP swab was done at such places as the impression materials, dental casts, dental prosthodontic appliance for repair, hand piece and working gawn for dental laboratory rooms, in order to measure the contaminations and to find the proper way for infection control at the laboratory room.

Methods: 35 dental laboratory rooms in Korea were selected to collect the samples for ATP test.

Results: It was measured that the most in micro-organisms in impression materials as 1023.74¡¾604.49 RLU and the next in dental prosthodontic appliance for repair, as 608.28¡¾572.86 RLU and the least in working model, hand piece and working gawn (p£¼0.001, by repeated measured ANOVA).

Conclusion: There was no difference for ATP between the regional distribution statistically (p£¾0.05, by one-way ANOVA).
